Academic Coaching is the process of helping students identify academic concerns and potential barriers to success.  Coaching includes support in:

  • time management
  • test preparation
  • note taking
  • reading strategies
  • study and test taking skills
  • anxiety management

We start by assessing strengths and needs and the develop a personal plan of action.  The plan involves setting goals and identifying strategies to empower students to change current academic behaviors.  Students typically meet with an academic coach for 3-4 appointments in order to test out new techniques provided by the coach and to report back on their success.
